IN reply to the last paragraph of RG Spencer's letter of April 6, there is no similarity between the three main parties.

It's true that Labour and Liberal Democrats operate as one party at County Hall. But it's equally true that the Conservatives are diametrically opposed to regionalisation.

In debate, the Liberal Democrats often speak against Labour. But, when the vote's taken, their hands shoot up in support of Labour proposals. They are, in effect, one party.

Let R G Spencer be assured that Conservatives are against regionalisation and will do their best to control the federalists at County Hall.

The regional assemblies will immediately be culled by the Conservatives, when they win the General Election.

Worcester.
