A TROUBLED Worcester housing estate has been targeted by vandals over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Warndon Villages' Happylands Nursery, the Lyppard Grange Medical Centre and buildings surrounding Tesco in Lyppard Grange were all struck over the three days.
Fiona Hipkiss, of Worcester police, said windows were smashed at the nursery and superstore, while tiles were ripped from the roof of the surgery.
"£300 damage was reported at Happylands," she said.
"And as well as damage to tiling at the surgery, the vandals pulled the drainpipes off the walls."
She said the crime risk manager had been informed and officers were looking into the incidents, but it was too early to say if they were linked with concerns about youths congregating in the area.
The Evening News reported earlier this month that Warndon beat manager PC John McManus was concerned about wayward youngsters running riot in the area, and criticised parents' attitudes.
But parents hit back, saying a lack of facilities for children were to blame.
