A TEENAGER from Barnt Green has been remanded in custody after a shooting which left two people injured, shops boarded up and the main street in the village closed.
James Robert Matthews, age 19, from Aqueduct Lane, appeared at Redditch Magistrates Court yesterday charged with a serious firearms offence, wounding and causing actual bodily harm.
A 15-year-old boy and a 35-year-old woman were hurt during a shooting in Hewell Road at 8pm on Saturday.
They were treated for minor injuries at the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch, and later discharged.
Matthews has been remanded in custody until his next appearance in court, expected tomorrow.
