MALVERN-based accountancy firm, Kendall Wadley, has donated to Upton Rugby Club a complete new set of rugby post protectors.

However, Upton player and Kendall Wadley accountant, Rob Wynn can take much of the credit, persuading his bosses that the Club would benefit hugely from such a gesture. The generous-hearted firm responded with a cash donation that effectively paid for the safety equipment.

"It's essential to player safety," says Rob. "The old post protectors had had their day, so I just asked my employers if they could help out. Luckily, they said yes."

The Kendall Wadley team was invited to a presentation at the Club and some rugby hospitality, as well as to see Upton's first XV in action.

Upton Rugby Club captain, Ray Gidley said: "Generosity of this nature is what keep local rugby sides going. Not only do we have to depend on a big input from players, but Worcestershire firms too, which are interested in supporting local sport. Many thanks to all at Kendall Wadley."
