Their last home game was a 3-1 win over Shrewsbury to lift themselves away from relegation danger.
Forward Drew Broughton is still banned, while midfielders Daire Doyle, Neil Mackenzie, Thomas Skovbjerg and Dean Bennett are brought into the side.
Ian Clarkson is missing from the line-up with Frenchman Parfait Medou-Otye likely to take his place at right-back and centre-back Mark Shail is also missing from the first 16.
Plymouth have suffered two poor displays recently but have picked up their away form by winning at York City, their first win out of Devon for well over a year.
Boss Paul Sturrock makes a number of changes with keeper Jon Sheffield, youngster Danny Bance, French midfielders Jean-Phillipe Jabery and David Friio and former Reading man Sean Evers all being recalled to the line-up.
