CLUB AC 30 booked their place in the final of The President's Cup with a 7-2 victory over Morgan Aero 8 in the Sterling Classic Malvern Football League.

Club AC 30 kicking down the slope in the first 45 minutes had most of the possession and chances testing Morgan Aero 8 keeper Steve Davies on a number of occasions. It was Aaron Parr who opened the scoring for Club AC 30 after 18 minutes, then four goals in a spell of 17 minutes through Tony Reece, David Jones, Aaron Parr along with an own goal on the stroke of half-time gave Club AC 30 a 5-0 advantage going into the break. Throughout the half chances fell in particular to the strike partnership of Aaron Parr and Tony Reece, however some agile keeping by Davies kept out any further goals.

In the second half it was Morgan Aero 8's chance to share the majority of the possession and Darren Layton was starting to cause some problems in the AC 30 defence, however a break away from Club AC 30 and some uncharacteristic defending by Aero 8 allowed Tony Reece to collect his second of the game. Minutes later and Aero 8 scrambled the ball in from close range to add some respectability to the score. David Jones notched his second of the game soon after and with 15 minutes to go, Mike Griffin's shot from 20 yards gave Aero 8 their second goal of the match. More possession by Morgan Aero 8 gave them more opportunities, however it was Club AC 30 who ended victorious.

In the other semi-final played at Ledbury, by kind permission of Ledbury Town FC, Callow End Harriers young side took on Bull Allstars and the match was decided by a Jamie James effort inside the opening 30 minutes of the game.

Although Harriers had the opportunity to equalise in the final minutes of the game it was goalkeeper Glyn Morris who saved the resulting penalty kick to see them through.

In League action a rare 0-0 result at The Hill Centre, Upton saw Talbot Head finish honours even against visitors Intermilokal who collected their first point since their victory over Callow End Harriers on January 14.

LTFC 2000 returned to form as they travelled to Portobello United at came away with the three points after cruising to a 13-3 victory in a sporting encounter at Lower Howsell Road. Robbie Colwell added a further 10 goals to his seasons tally, along with Lee Clueit, James Dean and Mark Herbert they now only need another three points from their remaining four games to be certain of claiming the Division One title. Gary Lock was on target for United scoring his first hat-trick of the season.

Morgan slipped to their third defeat of the season against Bell Inn 98. A Chris Jones effort from Morgan was cancelled out by Bell Inn 98 as they move up two places in the League positioning and into sixth place.

The next League Meeting is scheduled for this coming Tuesday (April 17) at the Civil Service Club, Pickersleigh Road, Malvern commencing at 7.30pm. All clubs are expected to be represented. The League programme continues this Sunday and the following Thursday due to the back-log of fixtures.

The League is also pleased to announce that Kempsey have indicated their intention to join the Senior Division next season.
