ON Sunday Malvern Ladies entertained Keynsham Town Reserves in a league game.
MALVERN LADIES FC 3, KEYNSHAM TOWN RESERVES 3
Malvern started well and after a lot of attacking, Jenny Allen broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute with a well driven shot from a very acute angle. In the 37th minute a fine run and cross by Jenny Allen found Rachel Crack who calmly tapped in with her left foot. Half time 2-0.
Straight from the kick off Malvern went on the attack and when Keynsham cleared the ball it fell to Hayley Presley who fired home a cracking shot from 35 yards. 3-0. This seemed to fire the Keynsham side up and they reduced the deficit in the 51st minute with a deflected free kick. In the 83rd minute Keynsham scored again after a goal mouth scramble.
Deep into injury time Keynsham were awarded a free kick on the edge of the area which was shot through a crowd of players and found its way into the corner of the goal. Final score 3-3.
Rachael Crack played very well for Malvern.
On Sunday (April 15) Malvern Ladies, who are sponsored by First Floor Flooring, play First Tewkesbury, kick off 2.30pm.
The players and coaches of Malvern Ladies would like to thank Anne and Reg at the Cross Keys for their hospitality.
