YMCA VULCANS have clinched the Lamberts & Wade Malvern Table Tennis League Division Two championship despite losing their last two games.

Their last match was against Manor Park Travellers who have been busy catching up with postponed matches. Pete Griffiths was in fine form winning all three singles, including getting revenge over Nick Price for losing the Division Two Singles final at the Malvern Championships. There were also two wins apiece for Bob Atyeo and Martin Snee. Nick won two singles for Vulcans.

Bob and Martin again won two each against the Trojans with one win for Ken Hipwell. For Trojans Dave Hayes won two and Jon Gaskell and Roy Mollatt one each. Dave and Jon also won the doubles.

Against Broadheath Belters two wins for Pete Griffiths and Martin Snee and one for Ken Hipwell earned a draw for Travellers. Broadheath were indebted to three wins by David Elliott and one for Pete Roberts. David and Peter won the doubles.

Broadheath's match with Manor Park Oak also ended up in a draw. This time there were three wins for Peter and two for David. For Manor Park, Paul White won two and there was one win apiece for Steve Farr and Don Cooper. Steve and Paul won the doubles.

The match between Manor Park Oak and Wanderers B resulted in yet another draw but Wanderers did beat Ledbury Park Rangers.
