THREE men have appeared before magistrates suspected of running a drugs ring in Droitwich Spa.

Andrew Smith is alleged to have supplied undercover police officers eight times with heroin between February and April.

The 33-year-old, of Shepherd's Close, appeared at Droitwich Magistrates' Court on Thursday April 12.

Also before the bench were Amer Younas, aged 25, and Mohammed Mutaza, aged 28, who are alleged to have supplied heroin in Droitwich between July last year and Wednesday April 4 when they were arrested. Both men are charged with supplying heroin to Christopher Lane between July and September last year.

They are further accused of causing actual bodily harm to Lane and threatening to kill him. Mutaza, of Thornton House, Newtown, Birmingham, is also accused of dishonestly obtaining jewellery and a neck chain belonging to a 35-year-old warehouseman, David Barber.

Younas, of Alma Way, Newtown, Birmingham, Mutaza and Smith were remanded in custody. The case was adjourned until Thursday April 26.
