BRITISH cyclists had a hugely successful Olympic Games, and now the search is on for stars of the future.
Young cyclists in Bromsgrove are invited to take part in the local Challenge 2001 -- the national cycling competition for children up to school year eight, an initiative organised by the British Cycling Federation.
The local event will be held at North Bromsgrove High School playing fields on May 5 at 10am.
Bromsgrove Olympique Cycling Club invites all interested young people aged between six and 13 to come along and take part.
The competition features a skills course which will test your cycling balance, skill and confidence. The event will be held in a safe environment and will be supervised by qualified coaches.
All who take part will receive a certificate and the top three in each category will be awarded medals and invited to take part in a regional final on June 24.
At the regional finals winners will compete for the top prizes against other local heat winners.
Simply turn up on May 5 to join in the competition, with an entry fee of £3.
You can use any bike and must wear a helmet, and if you have them, wear your cycle gloves.
