MEET Miles O'Meally, Megan Resse and Henry Myatt -- the three Bromsgrove tennis aces in this year's Hereford and Worcester squad.
And the trio have all taken different routes on their rise to county standard.
Megan started playing short tennis when she was seven-years-old, at the Ryland Centre. Her coaches were Richard Lawton, Terry Franks and Pat Wallace.
She moved on to long tennis at Bromsgrove Tennis Club aged eight and joined the area county squad six months later.
The 11-year-old then reached the semi-finals of the under-12 girls singles at the Hereford and Worcester county closed tournament in August last year and went on to join the county squad in January.
Megan also starred in the under-12 Hilden county championships in Corby last Sunday. She is already part of the under-13 county team competing in the county cup at Lakenham next month.
Henry Myatt started playing short tennis with Pat Wallace in 1992 and moved up to outdoor tennis two years later, where he won the county transition tournament.
In 1996 the 12-year-old started playing in the area squad and progressed to the county squad in 1998.
Coached by Richard Lawton, Henry receives county training twice a week in Malvern with county performance officer Marc Kalkman. He also has one lesson a week with Jonathan Bradshaw.
Myles O'Meally starting his tennis career at the Abbey Stadium in Redditch, again under the expert supervision of Wallace and Lawton.
The 12-year-old was invited to join the county performance squad in the winter of 1998 and is also coached by Bradshaw and Kalkman.
