A GENEROUS Redditch company has given £650 to a Wythall cat charity.
The Mable Jenkins Cats' Protection Shelter received a cheque from Halfords, in Washford West, on Thursday.
The shelter will be spending the money on building a new pen for cats who do not like the indoors.
Mable Jenkins Cats' Protection Shelter manager Suzanne Clarke said: "It's terrific news. Most of the money will go towards a new cats' pen designed to help cats who don't like staying in the space inside.
"The large enclosed pen has been around for a long time and should be put to good use thanks to the money we are receiving."
A Halfords spokesman said: "Staff have been taking part in events throughout the year."
