ELDERLY residents who must negotiate three busy roads to post a letter want a new mailbox nearer to home.
Wychavon Tenants' Association treasurer Sheila Neary has received complaints from Pridzor Close and Hill End residents.
The pensioners, many of whom have to use walking aids, trek to Queen Street if they want to post correspondence.
Many find the journey frightening because they must cross Worcester Road, Saltway and Queen Street.
They are now calling for a postbox near to their homes off Worcester Road.
Sheila has contacted the Royal Mail and is waiting for a reply.
She told the Advertiser: "It's crazy to expect OAPs to walk this far just to post a letter. Many find the journey quite frightening."
A Royal Mail spokeswoman said: "We have received the letter and will look into the situation, which will include paying a visit to the area."
