BUCKETS of cash have been collected in aid of a hospital which nursed a Droitwich Spa teenager back to health.
The Barley Mow, in Hanbury Street, was at the centre of fundraising efforts, thanks to landlords Tony and Jinny Gardner.
They hosted a raffle and other events which raised more than £500 for the trauma unit at John Radcliffe Hospital, in Oxford.
Medics treated 13-year-old Tim Harbourne-Howard last summer.
The Droitwich Spa High School pupil was in collision with a car in Tagwell Road.
He was rushed from the scene with a suspected broken skull and spent four days in intensive care.
His mum, Jen Harbourne, said: "John Radcliffe staff were excellent and we wanted to support their good work and show our gratitude.
"Tim is on the mend but he still has bad days.
"I can't thank Tony and Jinny enough for giving us their backing."
