EVESHAM United boss Phil Mullen could be without two key defenders for tonight's Dr Martens League Western Division top-of-the-table clash at Tiverton Town (7.45).

Paul West (damaged ribs) and Russell Parmenter (dead leg) were both injured in Monday's 1-0 defeat at Solihull Borough and are doubtful for tonight's trip to Devon.

But Richard Clark is fit again and Jay Powell could also be back following a hand injury.

Monday's defeat ended a sequence of nine unbeaten matches, and another loss against promotion-chasing Tiverton tonight would severely hamper the Robins' chances of finishing second -- they currently trail Bilston Town by four points but have a game in hand.

Manager Phil Mullen said: "We dominated play for long periods against Solihull but didn't seriously test their 'keeper which was disappointing.

"We haven't got time to dwell on it. We have another very important game tonight and one way or another, tonight should sort out whether we are still in with a shout of finishing in the top two."

Although now five points behind leaders Barwell, Brown said: "Barwell have some hard games coming up, and as long as we keep winning we are still in it."
