WYTHALL captain Martin Priest is hoping all-rounder Matthew Elwell can repeat last season's heroics and boost his side's title bid.
Elwell was one of five Midland Combined Counties Conference Players of the Year last season after the wicketkeeper scored 1,400 runs averaging more than 50.
And with a handful of new recruits joining in the close season, Priest is hopeful of promotion from the new Warwickshire League Division Four Central.
"We were promoted two seasons ago and consolidated in mid-table last year after a shaky start," said the captain.
"We don't see why we cannot improve on that this time around."
But Priest will have to contend with the loss of strike bowler Gary Marriott, who moved out of the area.
