BROMSGROVE'S First XI has a new look about them for the first friendly game when they take on local rivals Barnt Green at Cherry Hill Road.
The side consists of eight front line batsmen and eight bowlers, offering new captain Paul Duffy plenty of options and variation.
New caps Kish Patel and Simon Keyte will be looking to impress whilst overseas player Jason Vaughan-Davis will be hoping to resume where he left off last season.
The weather is likely to spoil the match, giving both sides no practice going into the league season. The Second XI also benefit from new players with David Keyte back behind the stumps and his youngest son Daniel opening the bowling.
They also have two seasoned First XI players dropping down ready to put pressure on their team mates. Both games start at 2pm.
Friday sees the first annual golf day for the club, with professional Lee Mortlock looking to walk away with the silverware. But the stableford competition and damp course should even things out for all.
Competitors are required to be at Bromsgrove Golf Centre for 12pm.
