EXACTLY 999 fans turned out to watch Bromsgrove Rovers' enthralling Worcestershire derbies over the Easter weekend.
That's the sort of support director of football Steve Daniels is banking on for tommorrow's crunch match against basement boys Paget Rangers.
The Greens face managerless Rangers twice in their final eight games.
And Daniels has urged townsfolk to come out in numbers in a bid to roar Rovers to victories.
"We need all the help we can get because we're fighting for our future," he confessed.
"We've got eight cup finals now. Our future is very much in our own hands.
"After the superb support we had over Easter we need everyone to come out and get behind the team -- starting on Thursday.
"These are some of the biggest matches the club have had for years and we need six points from our next two games."
Gloucester City are the visitors to the Victoria Ground on Saturday, a team struggling with poor results in recent weeks.
Rovers, on the other hand, look slicker than they have for a long time, with the current crop of players gelling unusually quickly.
Although Bromsgrove only returned a point from their two Easter fixtutres, the foundatiions are there to grab more.
"Since I took over we've taken seven points from our last seven games," Daniels said.
"You have to bear in mind six of those games were against the top six in the league so I think that says we've improved.
"We gave ourselves too much to do against Evesham but I thought we were excellent against Redditch. We should have beaten them but our finishing was terrible."
l Bridges appear to be being built between the Bromsgrove Rovers Supporters Society and the club.
Members of the society have clubbed together to sponsor the match balls for the final game of the season against second-placed Bilston Town on Saturday May 5. They have also offered a fee of £20 for the man of the match from the fixture.
The decision was agreed after the society's AGM last Wednesday, where Phil Baker was formally elected as chairman, Des Best as vice-chairman, Des Madden as secretary and Morris Weaver as treasurer.
Rovers stage another sports forum at the Victoria Club on Monday at 7.30pm.
Chief executive Pat Bannister said in Saturday's match programme: "Please try to attend -- your comments can help the club."
