A TOWN councillor has asked that consideration be given to raising the money to buy a mobile defibrillator for Alcester.
At a town council meeting, Councillor Jim Kenyon suggested this would be a piece of medical equipment the town could really benefit from.
Mr Kenyon said: "We have a quick response paramedic in the town who can get to patients in a matter of moments but there is no defibrillator to be used to help people who are experiencing difficulties with their heart."
It was suggested Laurence Haines, who was at the meeting giving a report on the accounts of Alcester United Charities, should approach two of the charities to see if they would consider helping to buy it.
Mr Haines said that more details would need to be discussed if the idea was to be developed.
