Christine Thomas, vice-president of Hollywood WI, welcomed everyone to the 30th anniversary spring meeting.
A birthday cake, made by Sheila Jennings, was cut by Jackie Gregory, group adviser, and enjoyed by all.
The speaker was Marion Canning on An Unusual Job for a Lady, who enthralled and amused as she told of her work as a toastmaster.
Her red and black outfit, made in Savile Row, was extremely smart and dignified - which is also what her performance has to be to do her job properly.
After supper, Adam Evans entertained with music on his electric organ.
The competition for the best poster advertising a celebration was won by Brenda Dainty of Drakes Cross WI and she was presented with the rose bowl.
Hollywood members had put together a most entertaining evening, for which they were warmly thanked by Iris Montgomery.
They thoughtfully provided each of their guests with a small gift of Celebration chocolates to bring a happy evening to an end.
