TEENAGERS in Charford have been targeted to receive advice and support on sexual health in a three-year action plan to reduce pregnancies.
Charford has a rate of teenage conceptions which is more than double the county average at 82.51 per 1,000 girls, aged 15-17.
The long-term strategy is aiming for a 15 per cent reduction in teenage pregnancies by 2004 and to halve teenage pregnancies within ten years.
The health authority's teenage pregnancy co-ordinator Sheena Stewart said: "Our services may encourage young people to discuss their problems and may help them to reduce risk behaviour."
