WRIBBENHALL voters have been urged to check their bins to make sure they do not pass up the opportunity to select a new town councillor.
A by-election is taking place today to replace Labour councillor Nick Lawrence, who resigned from Bewdley Town Council due to work commitments. There are two candidates - John Iles (Labour) and Leslie Davies (Conservative).
But Mr Iles was concerned people may have binned their polling cards for the by-election after the announcement that local elections were being postponed until June 3 in the wake of the foot and mouth crisis.
Polling is at the Shaw Hedge Road Community Centre in Wribbenhall from 8am until 9pm.
