NETBALL: Enthusiasts are launching an annual charity tournament for men and women.
The mixed netball competition, benefiting Victim Support, will be at Wolverley High School on Saturday, May 19, from 12 noon to 4pm.
Organisers, Jayne Hardwick and Gill Bird, are looking for sponsors for the expected 16 teams as well as raffle prizes.
Hardwick, vice-chairman of Kidderminster and District Netball League, said: "This is going to be an annual event. We thought we could use netball in this way."
Teams will have squads of ten players and the tournament is likely to be split into two or three groups, meaning plenty of court action for all involved.
A programme is available and will give space to any sponsors.
The competition will be followed by a karaoke and disco evening at The Bridge pub, Stourport, from 7.30pm with tickets on sale now.
