A WOMAN tried to prevent two valuable cars being stolen by closing a gate only for the thieves to smash through it in their escape.
The owner, who has not been named, was in the garden of her home in Lunnon Lane, Rushock, when she realised a group of people were trying to steal her grey Land Rover Discovery and bronze Daimler Sovereign.
She raced to close the gates at the end of the driveway but the thief in the Land Rover smashed through the closed gates and was quickly followed by the Daimler thief.
Both vehicles were later found dumped outside the Cock Inn at Rubery after the theft, which happened at 5.45pm last Wednesday.
The Land Rover's registration is L251 CWP and the Daimler's is M96 JRW. Witnesses should contact Kidderminster Police on 01562 820888.
