The public have been warned to be on their guard against a potential bogus insurance worker.
Kidderminster Police's warning follows the theft of an insurance worker's stacker box which contained papers, a collection box and a calculator.
The items were stolen from the man's Mazda 626 car, which was parked in Lorne Street, Kidderminster, on Tuesday at 5.45pm.
Spokeswoman Caroline Schubert said: "The goods stolen could be used by the thief to act as a hoax insurance seller."
Witnesses can contact police on 01562 820888.
