I THINK that the people of Kidderminster owe an enormous debt of gratitude to the SKI members who have given generously of their time and efforts to fight the Severn Waste Services incinerator plan on behalf of us all.
I confess to having felt that it was a battle they could not win, and I am very pleased to have been proved wrong.
Obviously, Severn Waste Services will appeal against the refusal of planning permission and there will be more battles before the war is won, or lost, but I, for one, am greatly heartened by SKI's victory and their assertion that they are ready to maintain the fight if necessary.
Well done and thank-you SKI.
