Evesham United 1
Shepshed Dynamo 0
EVESHAM made it eight wins without defeat last Thursday night courtesy of Shaun Pratt's winner.
Central defender Paul West had earlier come closest to breaking the deadlock, but Richard Selby produced a smart stop to keep out his 14th minute header.
Patient United kept pouring forward, but they were indebted to keeper Damien Beattie for a couple of crucial stops before Pratt nodded in the clincher after Steve Taylor had knocked a Mark Wolsey centre into his path.
The scorer was denied a second eight minutes from time when his effort was cleared off the line.
United are back on home soil next Tuesday night after Saturday's trip to Weston-Super-Mare ends a run of four away matches. Rocester are the visitors in a game sponsored by Frank Wiesenger and London Metals. The match ball is sponsored by Angel Meats, Pershore. Next Thursday night, United visit Moor Green for the first leg of the Worcestershire Senior Cup final.
