DELIGHTED Stourport Swifts assistant manager Gary Whild classed Monday night's 3-1 home win over Stratford as "one of our best performances of the season".
Swifts, who have not lost in the Midland Alliance this year, kept up the challenge on Barwell and Rushall, thanks to midfielder Adrian Cooper's hat-trick.
They travelled to lowly Pelsall last night before visiting fellow challengers Oadby on Saturday (3pm) and mid-table Wednesfield next Tuesday (7.45pm).
Whild declared: "Stratford looked a good side. It was a decent game and a marvellous performance.
"The pressure was on us from the afternoon results with Barwell and Rushall winning.
"With that coupled with us playing a decent team, it made it probably one of our best performances of the season."
The goals were a boost for Cooper who was desperate to make his impression up-front.
Whild admitted: "He's been moaning a bit because we had to play him left-back and it became a bit of a standing joke. Fair play to him, he's come up with the goods."
And he added: "If we're not confident now then we are never going to be."
