YOUNGSTERS lost for ideas during the Easter holiday are being invited to try out their map reading skills tomorrow in the Wyre Forest.
The Forestry Commission is staging Marvellous Maps, an orienteering course, which gives young people the chance to learn how to navigate their way through the woods. Those taking part will also produce their own forest map.
The event is part of the commission's Forest Fun programme and is suitable for children aged seven to 11, although younger children can attend with an adult. Parents are welcome to stay and join in the fun which takes place between 2pm and 4pm.
Places cost £3.50 and should be booked in advance by calling at Wyre Forest Visitor Centre or telephoning the Discovery Centre on 01299 266929.
