A PENSIONER who died at Worcester Royal Infirmary was found to be suffering from lung cancer as well as a fractured pelvis sustained in a fall, an inquest heard.
Margaret Carter, 84, had been admitted by her GP to Heron's Residential Home in Kidderminster from her Lodge Crescent home in Bewdley after suffering a stroke on Wednesday, March 21.
Nine days later she fell and was taken to WRI where it was also discovered she had cancer.
"Cause of death was bronchial pneumonia due to cancer but there was also this matter of the fractured pelvis," said Worcestershire coroner Victor Round.
He adjourned the inquest at Stourbridge County Court.
