JEREMY Robinson's season could be put on the back burner for the best part of the next month.

The 35-year-old Evesham golfer misses out on a place at this weekend's Spanish Open and he is far from certain of a place in the Portugese equivalent that gets under way next Thursday.

Robinson is, however, assured of a place in the French Open, which is due to be held at Lyon on May 3.

But the player is still sweating on an invitation to the Benson and Hedges International Open at The Belfry, which is due to start just seven days after the French Open.

The break will give Robinson plenty of practice time and he admits he needs it after a poor display in Rabat last week.

"I have got to get my putting sorted out," he declared.

"Until I do that then I am not going to do anything and I've got to keep working at it."

Robinson carded a brace of 77s at the Morocco Open on a tough course.

"It was a great course, but very tough. But I didn't play very well and did nothing right." recalled the Evesham professional golfer.
