PRS South Warwickshire Summer Tennis League
THE PRS South Warwickshire Tennis League received a boost this week as a local businessman, who is also a captain of Studley Tennis Club, agreed to supply match balls for the league's annual floodlit tournament.
Since the retirement of Terry Slatter and his Stratford Sports Shops business two years ago, the league has sought a new sponsor for their tournament match balls.
At their recent annual general meeting Keith Burke, who runs Studley Tennis Club's B team and also owns Motor Caravan Sales of Studley, stepped forward to support the league.
Keith is a keen tennis player and felt it was a good move to support the sport in his area both from a personal and a business point of view. He is looking forward to a long and fruitful association with the summer tennis league.
Fixtures for the 2001 season begin next week and will run until the end of July. The floodlit tournament followed by the presentation evening will be held at Henley Tennis Club on September 9.
