Evesham and District Airgun League
Bidford RBL recently hosted the Wassell Trophy (Snap Shooting).
The rules are that each shooter takes six shots which have to be shot in a time limit of 60 seconds requiring 24 to qualify for the main shoot off which 20 shooters managed to achieve.
The highest score in the main shoot wins and after some good shooting there was a tie between Dean Baglin, of Wickhamford SCC, and Steve Pratt, of the Lygon Arms, who both scored 28 out of a maximum of 30.
In the shoot off Dean Baglin required a bull on his last shot to take the trophy by one point leaving Steve Pratt second with a score of 26.
The Bob Davies Handicap Cup was shot at Badsey RBL between Hampton WMC and Bidford RBL. Hampton had to give a handicap of one point to Bidford and after a close match Hampton won 253-255 with Steve Golder and John Shrimpton both scoring 46 for Bidford and Martin Houghton 45 for Hampton.
The second leg of the Mable Feast Trophy was shot between Evesham and Redditch.
Evesham had a four point advantage from the away leg at Redditch.
This was a close match with Evesham taking the second leg by five points, winning overall by nine points. Pete Mitchell and Wayne Chapman both scored a maximum 25 for the visitors with Zoe Nicholls also scoring a maximum for Evesham.
