THE Evesham and District Table Tennis Association holds its championship finals and presentation night at Bengeworth Church House on Saturday.

The new event Schizo Design junior drawn doubles between Craig Norledge and Charles Fisher and Martin Brown and Tim Haines gets things underway at 6.30pm.

In all there will be 12 finals with the Dillworths Ltd men's singles a repeat of last season between reigning champion Grahame Brown and Wyre Elites' Matt Hartwell.

Dorothy Macfarlane, the sponsor of the ladies singles, will be looking to stop Lynda Reid winning the title for the 14th time.

The same four players meet earlier in the evening when Brown and Reid take on Hartwell and Macfarlane in the Brisol Ltd mixed doubles.

The Cotswold Provisions men's doubles final will be an all Wyre Elite affair with reigning champions Matt Hartwell and Mark Green taking on younger Hartwell Rick and Darrell Wiltshire who beat number two seeds Ken Baker and Bob Price in a marathon semi-final 23/21, 13/21, 27/25.

Reid and Sandra Wheeler will be looking for revenge in the McLennans Building Contractors ladies' doubles in another repeat final against Bengeworth Green's Aileen Berry and Chris McLean.

The Pete Bott Skips veteran men's title has been won by Brown or Malcolm Macfarlane for the last six years and the two meet again in this year's final, while the R K Services veteran ladies' final will be between Peggy Mytton and Joan Parfitt.

The GLB veteran drawn doubles final will be an all Bengeworth affair in a mixture of Tigers and Lions. Ken Baker, Tigers, and Jean Lewis, Lions, take on Stuart Greene, Tigers, and Bryan Kirkman, Lions. The H20 Plumbing and Heating handicap singles final will be between Bengeworth's Dan Wood and young Littleton starlet Bruce Ford, who will receive a six point start.

Both Happy Little Sole junior boys and girls singles holders have reached the finals with Rick Hartwell meeting Littleton Loopers Anthony Lown and girls' holder Emma Talbot taking on team mate the fast improving Eleanor Lasota.
