WEST Midlands NFU are appealing for help in their "fodder bank" scheme, run to distribute animal feed to the region's farmers.
Since it was launched in February, the bank has been inundated with calls from farmers requiring feed, but now the sellers are running short of fodder too.
"The bank has been a huge success by helping farmers who have run out of fodder," said Bob Forster, the NFU Regional Director, "but many farmers' supplies are still low, so we are asking anyone with spare fodder to get in touch and register with the bank.
"We would also like to remind farmers who need fodder to contact the office and we will do our best to put them in touch with sellers."
Anyone with spare fodder can register with the bank by calling the NFU's regional office on 01952 400500.
