The Easter Sunday Holy Communion Service held at the Church of St Mary the Virgin was attended by a large congregation. The floral arrangements looked lovely thanks to the members of the Church Flower Rota. The service was conducted by the Rev David Bowers assisted by Benefice Reader Mary-Ann Preece. The address was given by the Rev David Bowers. The prayer were said by the Benefice Reader. Special prayers were said for those who have been affected so badly during the foot and mouth crisis. Being a farming community we are wholly aware of the havoc this is causing to our fellow farmers and those all over the country. Let us hope that the end to this disease is in sight. The choir led the singing accompanied by the organist Arthur Lawrence. The collection was taken by the Churchwardens Peter Remmer and Philip Warner.
