ALL the Malvern Town councillors who attended the Malvern Town Parish Meeting on April 4 should now be clear of the depth of feeling about their performance, particularly with regard to their ability to oversee matters within sensible financial limits.
Several town councillors are co-opted members and therefore have no mandate from the electorate of the wards they represent. The honourable course of action for all co-opted members of the town council is to resign now and seek a proper mandate.
May I urge them to do so now so that by-elections can be held on the same date as that scheduled for the election of councillors to replace those who have already resigned.
Lt Col J M Sweetman, Cowleigh Road, North Malvern.
