The return of the Right Hon the Earl Beauchamp to Madresfield Court on Thursday next will be made the occasion for according his lordship a cordial welcome.
It is now two years since Earl Beauchamp left England to take up the important appointment of Governor of New South Wales.
The Link will be decorated for the occasion, and we understand his Lordship will arrive there and drive through on his way to Madresfield, escorted by a procession of his tenantry on horseback. Malvern Gazette, April 19, 1901.
Fifteen members of the Ledbury Cycling Club turned up on Thursday for the opening run, via The Trumpet and Little Marcle. A start was made at 3.30pm, led by the newly appointed Captain, Mr J.W. Bebbington who, by the way, took the club round via Dymock, returning to headquarters, The Feathers, for a capital tea. Ledbury Free Press, April 23, 1901.

MR Raymond Baxter of the BBC Outside Broadcast Department, a well-known commentator of motor-racing, gave an interesting talk to a large audience of RRDE Motor Club members and friends.
Mr Baxter gave a brief resume of the history of motor racing broadcasting, from the first broadcast by John Snagge at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb in 1942, until the present day. Malvern Gazette, April 20, 1951.
The importance of encouraging youngsters to ride to hounds was stressed by several speakers when the Ledbury Hunt held its annual meeting at the Rose and Crown, Redmarley, on Monday.
Finola Lady Somers, who presided, referred to the Pony Club, which was affiliated to the Hunt. Through it, children come to the hunting field knowing how to ride. Ledbury Reporter, April 20, 1951.

A boy from Sweden was among the visitors to Malvern who climbed to the summit of the Worcestershire Beacon for a sunrise service on Easter Day. The service, organised initially for members of the Priory church, was also attended by representatives of other churches, and by 6am, the company numbered about 120. Malvern Gazette, April 22, 1976.
Wellington Heath is bidding to be the first place in Herefordshire to have a job creation programme. The aim of the Parish Council, which is behind the idea, is to employ ten currently unemployed people for about nine months on landscaping and improving the amenities of the village. Estimated cost is £12,000 to £15,000. Ledbury Reporter, April 22, 1976.
