A FUNERAL and a restaurant form the unlikely combination that is the latest production from the Colwall Players.
Next week, they present three performances of two one-act comedies by Alan Ayckbourn and Jimmie Chinn.
The first half features Ayckbourn's Between Mouthfuls. Directed by Andy Howie, it is set in a restaurant, where two couples are dining. Unbeknown to their partners, the man from one couple is having an affair with the woman from the other. The waiter oversees the ensuing fraught encounter.
Jack Fairey's production of Jimmie Chinn's A Respectable Funeral is set in a house following a funeral. The offspring of the deceased mother sit around and try to sort out her possessions.
The evening is completed by a supper, included in the admission price. Patrons are asked to bring a bottle.
The show runs from Thursday, April 26 to Saturday, April 28 and starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8, available from John Goodwin in Colwall.
