MYSTERY, intrigue and a dash of espionage are the vital ingredients of a light-hearted spy spoof coming to the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham next month.

Alfred Hitchcock's suspense classic The Lady Vanishes has been adapted for the stage, and veteran actress Dulcie Gray CBE plays the title role of the innocent Miss Froy.

Co-starring is theatrical legend Victor Spinetti, who has been a household name since he won a coveted Tony award in the mid-60s for Oh, What a Lovely War.

Also starring will be Caroline Trowbridge and Edward Baker Duly as sleuths Irene and Gilbert.

Caroline is well known to TV viewers as Dr Liz Reid in Cardiac Arrest, while Edward starred as Joe in Emmerdale.

As the trans-continental train hurtles across Europe, the heroes race against time to solve the mystery.

Tickets, priced at £6.50 to £16.50, are available from the box office on 01242 572573.
