TEAMS are now required for a summer charity skittles knockout competition that has raised nearly £20,000 for Cancer Research.

The Malvern & District Motor Cycle & Light Car Club has promoted the mens and ladies four-a-side skittles events at the Beacon Club, off Howsell Road, since 1989 and during the last ten years £18,614.98 has been sent to the Cancer Research Unit in Birmingham.

Entry forms for the Margaret Fildes Memorial Trophy, the Ladies competition, are available from Lorna Rodway at 49 Somers Park Avenue, Malvern Link, WR14 1SE (tel: 01684 563352).

Entry forms for the Beacon Charity Trophy, the mens event, are available from Nick Taylor, 25 Meadow Road, Malvern Link, WR14 2RZ (tel: 01684 567369).

The entry fee is £6 per team (aged over 16 years) and the closing date for entries is May 4. The competitions are open to anyone who would like to enter a side.
