Kidderminster Harriers had not won away on a Saturday since last seasons conference winning campaign at Southport.
But this changed when Harriers claimed their third Division Three win of the season on their travels at Cheltenham with a tremendous display.
They took the lead on 20 minutes through Paul Webb but possibly even more crucial was the red card for violent conduct handed to Cheltenham midfielder Lee Howells five minutes later.
Another goal from Tony Bird on the verge of half-time put them further on the road to victory and although Cheltenham's Neil Grayson pulled one back in the second-half, Harriers controlled the contest.
Drewe Broughton added a third as Harriers displayed strength and a burning desire to win that they have lacked so often this year.
The season appears to be ending on a high for the men from Aggborough who dented Cheltenham's play-off hopes and ensured their first defeat in 13 games.
