A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries today after an accident at Great Witley.
The woman, believed to be in her 50s, was rushed to Selly Oak Hospital suffering from head and chest injuries.
A red car was involved in a collision with milk van on the A443 Worcester Road at around 9.40am.
The accident happened opposite the petrol station. Police officers were still directing traffic past the crash scene as the Evening News went to press.
Two hours earlier, a crash involving two cars on the A422 by Grafton Mill, near Flyford Flavell caused rush-hour chaos.
The collision, which happened at around 7.30am, meant the road was closed for almost two hours, with diversions in place. Two people were taken to Ronkswood Hospital in Worcester with neck and back injuries, but the police and ambulance service were unable to confirm details.
The collision, between a red Vauxhall Astra and a silver Citroen Saxo, was attended by one fire crew.
"Nobody was trapped and we made the vehicles safe," said a spokesman.
