JOHN Hinton writes of "upper-class twits at Oxbridge", yet earlier calls his academic training "extremely good" (You Say, Friday, April 13).

I have deep admiration for highly intelligent people (most of whom have been through university). The writings of philosophers and economists are rather beyond me. But then, perhaps I'm a bit of a lower-class "twit" myself.
