AN indecent assault on a 13-year-old girl in Worcester's Meco Alley could be linked to other offences in the area, police have warned.
The attacker pounced on his victim as she walked through St John's at 8.30am on Wednesday, April 4.
Reports of a man indecently exposing himself at lunchtime on Friday, April 6 and a man acting suspiciously in the area around 3pm on Monday, have led Worcester police to believe there is a link.
Det Insp Dave Bartlett, who is leading the investigation, warned schools, parents and children to report any suspicious behaviour and where possible not to walk alone in the area.
"We have some positive leads in connection with the indecent assault and although the other reports are less serious in nature they may be linked," he said.
"Obviously we're concerned that this man may commit other offences so it is important we identify the man in the e-fit."
Det Insp Bartlett said the man may have a legitimate reason for being in the area and urged him to make contact so he could be eliminated from police inquiries.
"I'm confident that someone knows the identity of this man," he said.
"As a precaution we'd advise parents and children to be aware of what has happened and not to walk through the alley alone."
Police are urging a stocky white man in his 30s to early 40s with a plump face and dark collar-length hair swept back from his face to contact them.
Anyone with information should call 01905 723888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
