SIDEMOOR Formula One fan Darren Price was at an extremely cold Silverstone over the weekend.

The 36-year-old watched the teams who were trying out the electronic aids which will come in for the next grand prix in Spain.

It was a high profile test with seven teams on show, including McLaren, Williams, Benetton, BAR, Jordan, Jaguar and Prost.

Darren, who lives in Greenacres Road, has followed the sport for over 30 years. He managed to get into the pit lanes, meet the drivers and take some photos, including Williams pair Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya (above right).

Darren said: "On a personal note, asking all the drivers whether they like the idea of traction control on board for the remainder of the season, I would say that 100 per cent of the drivers positively despise the device on their engines!"
