IN response to what was written about having too many of the same kind of shops in the Kingfisher Centre and not much selection in retail outlets (Letters, April 4), I couldn't have put it better myself!

What the centre needs is a supermarket, not another department store.

Those redesigning the centre obviously do not think that the elderly, young mothers, the disabled and people without cars need to have everything under one roof.

Once, shopping in the centre used to be a pleasure, now getting my weekly shopping is a big ordeal.

Also, why do shop owners keep opening these clothes shops selling slinky tops and skirts that would just about fit a 10 year old? Haven't they heard that at least 65 per cent of Britain's population are big?

If someone opened a casual clothes shop for the bigger person they would do a roaring trade as bigger folk like to be casual too.
