PLANS to develop 19 homes in Feckenham have been resubmitted to Redditch Council despite an original application being turned down.
Chase Homes Ltd was recently refused an application to create 29 homes on land off High Street after a strong campaign from villagers opposed to the development.
The firm has now resubmitted an application, due to be heard next at next month's planning meeting, but for fewer homes.
Planning committee chairman Clive Cheetham said: "One of the issues which was given as a reason to reject the original planning application was because it was considered by people who live in Feckenham to be an over-development of the site.
"Technically it wasn't, because spacing rules and other requirements were met - but people believed it was."
Up to 14 residents raised issues about the original plan, including high density units, dangerous road access, increased traffic, possibility of flooding, lack of social housing and lack of parking.
Mr Cheetham said: "The applicants could have appealed against the decision but they chose not to.
"We welcome this fresh application and a chance to have a look at it again."
