ABBEYDALE residents are calling for the council to replace draughty windows after they claimed they were treated like 'second class citizens'.
The housing management sub-committee was due to decide tonight if the 291 houses should be fitted with double-glazing.
Residents, who collected a 314-name petition, say their doors and windows are in a poor state causing damp and condensation which they claim have caused ill health.
The houses affected were built between 1932 and 1978.
The petition by the Abbeydale Tenants and Residents' Association states: "We believe that for too long the residents of Abbeydale have been ignored and we feel we are treated as second class citizens."
