AN innovative Internet virtual gallery is playing host to contemporary Bromsgrove artists.
Newly-launched Virtuizmo supports artists by displaying their work.
The website was set up by Bromsgrove entrepreneurs Jay Bridge, of Carlyle Road, and Dan Huband, of Central Road.
It is supported by the technical skills of web designer Mike Burrowes, from Solihull.
The trio were frustrated by the lack of affordable, contemporary artwork on the market and while refurbishing their homes, the idea for Virtuizmo was born. The company operates from Carlyle Road, in Aston Fields.
Jay, aged 30, told the Advertiser/Messenger: "Bet-ween High Street reproductions and the original art available in traditional galleries, there wasn't really a great deal of affordable art to be found.
"After some thought, we realised we could fill that gap and give a helping hand to young artists who would benefit from exposure."
The gallery currently displays 12 artists with more than 100 pieces of their work for sale.
A variety of styles are available, ranging from watercolours to acrylics. Prices start from £50.
Jay added: "Virtuizmo is a lifestyle brand, promoting values such as desirability, personality, originality and energy."
